An Instagram/Facebook Competition

Our team defined and delivered the social media strategy for the 2013 Sculptures by the Sea event with a focus of using our social campaign platform to run an Instagram competition. A key element of the social media strategy was to increase Facebook Fans, extend reach for the event and to amplify engagement. Using our social campaign platform our team ran an Instagram competition where Fans would take a photo at the event and have the community judge the best shot.

Result

Thousands of pictures were taken at the event and submitted into the competition, providing a constant stream of user generated content into the Sculptures by the Sea Facebook community. During the campaign reach increased by 250%, engagement by over 200% and 15,439 new Fans were added to their Facebook page.

Instagram Competitions

We used our Instagram promotions module to run an Instagram competition where user generated images were aggregated using the promotional hashtag and published directly into the Facebook campaign album.

Facebook Integration

Instagram images from visitors at the event were directly uploaded into the campaign Facebook photo album once reviewed and approved by the marketing team.

Social Media Strategy

Our team conducted a social listening exercise to gather insights, which were used to draw up a social media strategy that used our social platform to increase Fans, extend reach and amplify engagement.

Community Management

Our team provided support and management of the social community in the lead up to the event and through it’s operation. Image curation and community engagement kept the event alive and helped amplify the conversation.
