Supporting the Australian Launch

Native Empire worked with Mountain Dew to deliver the Australian version of a global campaign to promote the launch of the X-Men Days of Future Past movie. As a sponsor, Mt Dew had developed a custom Facebook application that provided their Facebook fans with exclusive pre-launch video content, information about the movie and characters and a chance to win prizes from merchandise to a VIP trip to Hollywood.

Outcomes

We deployed a version of the global application that included content specific to the Australian market. The project included customisation of the application to meet the needs for the Australian campaign. We also provided direction on the technical implementation and support throughout the promotional period and delivery into the Mt Dew Facebook custom app view.

Digital Strategy and Planning

Native Empire worked with the Mt Dew marketing team to review and define the requirements to deploy the Australian version of the global campaign. Our role was to customise the code and configurations for the local market and set up the back-end, hosting and domain management.

Custom Facebook App

We set up the Mt Dew Australia Facebook page to receive the localised version of the global promotions hub. The custom application was modified to deliver Australian specific content and promotional requirements and delivered into the Facebook page as a custom application.

Social Community

We were part of the team to monitor and manage the social interaction with the app throughout the promotion period. Our role extended into enabling the system to capture entries and for these to be extracted and delivered to the client.
