A Co-branded Microsite

We designed and developed a promotional microsite for News Limited to help them promote the Mr Men book launch across Australia. News commissioned us to define a digital strategy to enable them to cost effectively promote the Mr Men books to a national audience that provided a unique presentation and identity for each of the newspapers across all states in Australia. Additionally they wanted to integrate the site into Facebook to help increase their reach and amplify their promotion.

Our Approach

We developed a multi-domain website that presented a state specific front-end to their users depending on which state and online newspaper they came from. People could also upload their own family photos and add a Mr Men character to it, save it to the web gallery and share it with their Facebook friends. The microsite helped support the national print media campaign and saw hundreds of photos published to the web gallery.

Digital Strategy & Planning

We developed a digital strategy to meet the goals and requirements of the brief to extend across multi-domain platforms and to integrate Facebook for greater reach and amplification.

Design & Branding

We created a co-branded look and feel for the site to meet the exacting standards of both the Mr Men brand and News Limited requirements, while providing a look to resonate with Fans of the books.

Custom Web Development

We developed an easy to use website administration tool for the marketing teams across Australia to review and approve images submitted through the website. The front-end also integrated with Facebook and was built on a highly scalable server infrastructure.

Facebook Integration

The front-end website enabled people to share their approved images from the web gallery to their Facebook friends.
